Welcome to the Virtual Villagers Wiki

Virtual Villagers is a strategy-simulator game series, created and developed by Last Day of Work

It is made for Windows, Mac OS X, and cellular phones, such as the iPhone. Based on the fictional fantasy island of Isola, the games feature adventure, puzzles, RT strategy, tribal life simulation, and more

In the first game, Virtual Villagers: A New Home, refugees from a different island (that has been destroyed by a volcanic eruption) arrive on Isola. After the initial goal of seeking enough food sources to survive, the turning point in villagers' lives will be the birth of a 'golden child', a natural talent for all five activities.

The next game, Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children, starts with a pair of curious villagers exploring a nearby cave, only to find themselves stranded on Isola's western shore with no way back. Here, they discover a small group of children, and together they'll have to develop a lasting society.

In the third game, Virtual Villagers: The Secret City, a group of villagers trying to explore the waters around Isola are shipwrecked on the northern shore, where they find an ancient abandoned city that they'll have to restore in order to survive and thrive.

The fourth game in the series, Virtual Villagers: The Tree of Life, starts during a period of natural distress, with flora and fauna withering. An expedition that seeks the causes of this distress discovers a haggard banyan tree. Restoring the water-flow of an ambient stream invigorates the clearing and allows the villagers to regenerate their environment.

In the latest episode, Virtual Villagers: New Believers, a group of villagers are captured and imprisoned by masked heathens. The "heathens" are actually Isolan natives, disheartened by the events revealed in The Secret City, now fearful and superstitious. The goal is to escape the primitive prison and help all the heathen villagers back to believing in their ancient ways.

This time, the player will be allowed new "god-like" powers (issuing storms, droughts, sun beams, bees and butterflies), that are fueled by the faith of believing villagers.
